On April 16, I attended the awards reception for Montgomery County Community College's (MCCC) school-wide student essay contest, held in the campus's Barnes and Noble bookstore. The contest, which was sponsored by my firm Kreithen, Baron & Carpey, gave awards to three students for their exemplary essays. The contest winners were:
First Place: Galia Godel, for her essay "Fetish, Faires and Fashion: The Acceptance of the Modern Corset"
Second Place: Sara Calcinore (pictured right), for her essay " Fast, Fatty and Frugal"
Third Place: Jodie Hair (pictured left), for her essay "More."
I was extremely proud to sponsor the essay contest and to meet with the very talented writers who took home prizes! The reception brought in many of the esteemed members of MCCC's English department, including event organizer Dana Resente. Thanks to everyone for making it a great experience!
Kreithen, Baron & Carpey is always happy to support enriching community events and organizations.
